"If Mickey Mantle was the perfect baseball sports hero, then Braulio Baeza could become racing’s perfect sports hero. He has all the credentials--talent, intelligence, good morals, even a generous helping of modesty... He is an improvement on the ordinary. Soft-spoken, intelligent, anxious to do as good a job as possible, he brings to the sport a dignity it can never have in sufficient quantity."
