1940 Born March 26 in Panama City, Panama
1955 Rides first race at Hipodromo Juan Franco, outside Panama City
1957 Hooks up with Henry White, Sr.(Sr. Take Away), and begins to prosper.
1957 Aquires agent Barcelona. Wins first stake
1958 Wins first match race aboard Janina, Champion Two Year Old Filly, beating Champion Two Year Old Colt, Henco, ridden by H. Gustines.
1959 Wins on 36% of mounts at Hipodromo Presidente Remon. 309 races
1960 Goes on vacation in March to Miami. Works two horses for Fred Hooper and is offered to ride in U.S. on contract for Hooper
1960 Leaves Panama for Keeneland in March. Wins on first mount, filly Foolish Youth, in the first race of opening day Keeneland
1960 Wins Washington Park Futurity at Arlington aboard Crozier
1961 Wins the Bluegrass Stakes and the Belmont Stakes aboard Sherluck
1963 Wins the Bluegrass Stakes and the Kentucky Derby aboard Chateaugay

1965 Acquires Lenny Goodman as agent
1965 Hooper gets court order to stop Baeza from riding due to contract dispute
